A PLAIN-LANGUAGE POLICY

Your inbox and words are yours.

DailyCue is an independent project operated by Ayoub Yaagoubi. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

What we collect and why

Consent and your choices

Email signup is optional. We do not add an address to the mailing list until its owner confirms through the email link. The confirmation link expires after 48 hours. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. We keep a minimal suppression record after unsubscribe so we can respect that choice.

By sending a community note, you confirm you wrote it or have permission to share it and allow DailyCue to publish it if approved. You can ask us to remove a published note by emailing us from the contact link above.

Who processes information

Maildeck, hosted by the DailyCue operator, stores signup records and community submissions. Cloudflare provides DNS, delivery of site pages, and security services. If email delivery is enabled, Amazon SES in Canada (ca-central-1) will process the recipient address and message for delivery. We do not sell or rent addresses or use them for unrelated advertising.

Retention

Unconfirmed signup requests are removed after their 48-hour confirmation window. Confirmed subscribers remain on the list until they unsubscribe; a minimal suppression record is kept afterward so we can honor that choice. Community notes awaiting review remain until a decision is made. Rejected notes are automatically removed after 30 days. Approved notes remain public until removed at the author’s request or by moderation. Rate-limit identifiers expire within one hour.

Your privacy requests

You can ask what information we hold about you, request correction or removal where applicable, or object to email updates. Contact us at [email protected]. Rights and procedures depend on the laws that apply to you.

Service providers

We use service providers to host and protect the website and, when enabled, to deliver email. These providers may process information in the countries where their services operate. We limit the information shared to what is needed to provide and protect DailyCue.

Changes

We will update this page if our data use changes. The current version is always available here.
